How to start a blog
This is my third time opening a WordPress blog. It has been a tiresome journey of doubt and perseverance, but I am always excited to have a reason to write what I think!
- Know what you want to write about – this may appear to be very restrictive. You may not necessarily be sure of what you want to write about, so just start with what you like!
- Be consistent in your posting – that is the most difficult part. Not only do you have to do stuff, you have to do that stuff CONSISTENTLY.
- Be confident – there are times when you may feel as though you are rambling on and on about stuff that people do not care about, but if you have a message to share, then do so! Not everyone will find what you have to say to be their favourite and that is OKAY.
- Make it pretty – It took me ages to find out that WordPress had free themes and layouts! I thought I had to pay for it! SO my blog looked as interesting as a dictionary.
- Love your blog! – things only grow when you put effort into making them grow! Your blog is like your baby, nurture it.
