When I started my first venture, the hardest thing to do was click on the “invite” button on Facebook. It took me like 2 hours just hovering my thumb over that button. In that moment, doubt filled my mind. And I felt I was not ready. I felt the venture was not ready.
When you click on the “invite” button, the people you invite to like your page will get a notification basically saying YOU are inviting them to like the page. And I did not want that. I wanted to own my brand but not be associated with it. Why? Just in case it failed.
The growth phases related to owning your brand are incredible.
I was afraid I would not get any responses. I was afraid I would not get any likes… And guess what happened?!
EXACTLY THAT. I got very few responses to my invite, and I got even fewer likes.
So what am I trying to say?
Well, we grow. Entrepreneurship has a growth phase where you cannot go a DAY without putting out something that displays your brand. Even if it is in the smallest way possible. Even if the video gets 2 views and the post gets 1 like.
The moment you shamelessly post and share things about the venture you created and are sustaining, then you have reached the epitome of entrepreneurship which is: LIVING IN YOUR BRAND!
