Falling in Effort

Where you place your effort, is where your interest lies. And where your effort does not feel like effort – is where your love lies.

A great way to figure out your purpose or to make a decision, is to know what kind of effort you are putting in.

We know when we are trying too hard. Trying too hard to be funny, trying too hard with people, trying too hard in an interview… We place effort where we see value. But what determines what MATTERS to us, is how we feel about that effort.

When you try and it makes you bitter, (I’m no mind reader) but you must not exactly like what you’re doing. Just a thought

We have all fallen for something or someone. At the time it sparks our interest. We are dedicated for a month, scheduling dates and practices… But once we make that aspect a PART of our lives through the type of effort we feed into it, only then can we know how much it means to us.

When you like what you do, it does not feel like work. The distances travelled do not feel like a waste, the time you get up does not seem like a bother. You’ll clear your schedule for something you love without thinking twice. And that’s where the clue is… When you trying does not feel like a bother, when new ideas or conversation flows… You KNOW.

What you do effortlessly is where your purpose is. If hours can go by and you are typing away and still make space to do what you have to do- then you are not “working”. Time and effort go hand in hand. The time you spent IS effort. And if you don’t notice the strain or feel each second go by, then you have fallen in effort with what you do.
